The Force and Motion for Teachers professional development course is designed to help you: learn science (force and motion for eighth grade), understand students’ ideas about those concepts, and analyze and improve your teaching.  Participating teachers will receive a $1000 stipend and be eligible to receive 3 units of credit for an additional cost.

Registration Costs

There is a registration cost of $150 per participant.

Special Note to Teachers that Took Part in the WestEd Force and Motion for Teachers Study:

If you took part in the 2009-10  WestEd Force and Motion for Teachers study and were assigned to the Control Group, you are already registered for this institute at no cost.  Please do not register again.
