The San Joaquin County Office of Science and Special Projects, offers students and teachers the opportunity to explore science particularly “space” without leaving their school. A portable dome system including curriculum enhancement, is checked out to qualified schools and teachers for a week. Many schools use the dome not only for educating their students but in conjunction with their “Family Science Night”. Both projector and digital systems are available to schools belonging to the “Space Consortium” and whose members have attended a training. Training on the digital projector and the pinhole projector, generally takes place in the early fall, (see the consortium page). For further information please contact our office at: 209-468-4880.
